| SciWorks® Experimenter software suite is an integrated
software package, combined with their advanced A/D hardware,
that enables users to design and perform sophisticated neurophysiological
experiments, as well as record and analyze all data online
during acquisition.
This page will focus on the Data Acquisition features of
the SciWorks® Experimenter program suite.
An experiment is defined using Experimenter and its assorted
built-in tools. These tools are oriented around common experiment
tasks, such as data acquisition, stimulus generation and
delivery, data display, data analysis, annotation of data,
timing and external device control.
Sciworks can be used to perform any of the following experiments:
Single Unit Recording
Multi-Unit Recording
Evoked Responses
Field Potentials
EEG
ECG / EKG
ERG
EMG
SciWorks® Experimenter provides the user with a single
interface to:
- control instrumentation
- define acquisition parameters such as sampling rates and
gain factors
- perform real-time data analysis, including multi-unit spike
sorting and separation, that can trigger other experimental
contingencies
- generate complicated stimulation patterns
- annotate data files with messages, trial information, and
timing flags
- write data to a multiple of common industry defined data
formats
Data Acquisition is accomplished using Datawave
Technologies A/D PCI Card (laptop versions are available)
and input/output patch panel. Your system can be configured
to acquire from 1 to 128 channels of continuous or single
sweep data.
All acquired data can be analyzed off-line following the
experiment. Further, analysis can be performed during data
acquisition, and both the raw data and the analyzed data
can be stored for subsequent analysis and review during
an offline session.
All data is timestamped to 1microsecond resolution, and
this resolution can be held across several days of continuous
recording.
Optional video tracking software is available.
