| The
Model 2900 Metal Electrode Meter is designed to quickly
measure the impedance of metal microelectrodes. Impedance is
an important predictor of the electrode's recording and stimulating
properties.
The Metal Electrode Meter uses an oscillating small
current source to measure the electrical properties of metal
electrodes. A sinusoidal test signal of known frequency and
amplitude is applied to the electrode. A microprocessor-controlled
measurement
is made and the resulting value of impedance is displayed
on a digital meter for easy reading.
Users can select the
test frquency from 8 pre-set values (200 Hz to 10 kHz),
and the amplitude setting from 4 pre-set values (10nA to
100nA). |
